Do we need a clue on that last driver? Picture is for a super stock win in 1970.(I THINK he ran a three didget # at that time.)

That clue maybe misleading.I think he raced Carl Goldsmith's #188 to get the win that night of the photo. He didn't race alot of nights per year. A few years later at TSS he ran a all white #198 in the latemodel class. I remember him best in the #47 at TSS in the latemodels during the mid 1970's.

Mike got it!!!! I was just going to give my last clue...the only photos of his cars I have are from TSS. I'm not sure, but I would bet he was driving James Richesin's car that night to get in the photo I posted from CCS in 1970. Here's the #198 and #47 he drove at TSS around the mid 70's. THE #198 ON THE HIGHSIDE...

Here's James Richesin's #88 car I bet Richard was driving to win the trophy with Gerold Ray'S #23 on the outside during the 1970 CCS season....

THAT 47 IS A GREAT LOOKING CAR! That is how race cars are supposed to look! I had forgotten about Richard. The 31 car is sharp also. Is that Bob Ballard in the 98 camaro? Great stuff Bobby and it does bring back great memories in light of economy, track closings, etc. Am I wrong, but it seemed that" back in the day" one could race Razorback, Crawford, T-Bird, Fayetteville, Siloam with all pretty much same rules which opened up more car counts at various tracks. I read on some forums how it appears very few places to run because of varying rules. Oh well, GREAT SITE, GREAT PICS, GREAT PEOPLE!!!!!!!!

the wrecker driver is Don Paul Smith. Hey Mike I remember your dad he used to run a little parts house in Van Buren, I went there one time with David Snow. I remember him racing at Crawford and he had a article in the program each week, I always wondered if you were kin. I used to have a NAPA store in Lincoln and David called on me when he worked for Fliteline Motors. Him and Tommy Bowen used to always sell me their old junk
