I believe it was Fred Tiede? If I remember right, the town where he was from in Mo. was the home of the white squirrel and seems like I remember Fred having a squirrel painted on the side of his car up by the roof near the rear window?

Now back to Crawford County. In the late 60s early 70s what driver had a car known as the Bat Mobile. It was a 1960s style Plymouth Valiant .

jaynorton is correct it is Jackie Bob Martin. One day while sitting and going through old pics from Crawford County with Jackie Bob to put on racingfromthepast.com I asked him if he remembered an old car that I remembered as a kid racing there. Like an idiot I said it was an old Plymouth Valiant that was the ugliest car I had every seen but was also faster than anything there. In true polite Jackie Bob style he grinned and said "I sure do it was me"..... OPPs If anyone has a pic of the car please post it.

I don't know if he was kidding or not.

The supermodified champ in 68 was Ray Rainey. Jr. mod was Bill Bradley. Hobby Stock was John B. Maness. I'm sorry for fudging but this was from the Gerald Phillips posting of the 1968 racing season programs. FANTASTIC STUFF TO SEE THOSE OLD PROGRAMS AGAIN!!!

I want to add a little info about Mighty Mouse Speedway. In 1971 as said Dale Wofford was the Late Model champ and also Jim Corgill was the Street Stock champ.
