Ok vintage fans this thread is for trivia. Wagonmaster has got whos this driver going pretty good. Every body jump in on this one with a trivia question. I'll go first, its a two part. Who won the first Late Model Championship at Mighty Mouse Speedway Who won the naming contest for Tri State when the name changed from Mighty Mouse

Here's another one What driver from the Ft Smith area won a championship at Roland after Bob Tankersley was protested and was said to be illegal on cylinder bore. This driver raced at Razorback And Tri State for many years.

looking at the photo under your name, I'm going to GUESS maybe Jim Farmer #58, or maybe Dale Wofford who raced at Sequoyah County (Roland) as well as Razorback and Tri State

Question two; Both Dale Wofford and Jim Farmer raced at Roland, Razorback, and Tri-State. Many others raced there also, Herb Burris, Don Milliken but my guess is Dale or Jim.

Wagonmaster wins part two of question one. Theres a good story that goes with Patsy winning, maybe we can get Tilly on here to tell it.

Ol racer, I'm going to say that perhaps it may be Herb Burris or Don Milliken, as I know they both won championships at Sequoyah County as well as raced at Razorback/Tri-State. Of course Dale Wofford as well as his brother, Bud, also raced there. Jim Farmer, Phil Sangster, Jr. Meyers, Wendell Smith, Jim Morgan, Charlie Clouse, Carl Goldsmith, Jim Ledbetter, James Stockton, R.G.Hamilton, James Breedlove, Charles Crossno, Chuck Chronister as well as many more raced at Roland too. Those are just names I remember. I'll have to find those OLD newspaper clippings to see who all raced there.

Gerry, of course that is Dale Wofford and what a gorgeous car. However Don drove on old 32 Ford coupe #6 sponsored by Eddies service station at the time he won the championship at Sequoyah County Speedway. He then drove a #2 I believe, a 57 Chevy sponsored by Phil Adams Texaco at Razorback and when the supermodifieds were dropped I believe Don went to the 68 Camaro #6 sponsored by J's Nite Owl market. Dale, as far back as I can remember used #90. I remember an old black, I think, Ford coupe. Then came the ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL orchid 32 Ford sedan that he drove at Razorback. I believe there was a red 66-67 Mustang and a 70 Chevelle, gold if I remember right and then this camaro pictured. His cars were always immaculate and I remember him winning a lot of races in the orchid 32 Ford #90. These are the kind of memories I hold to and why this site is and will be a GREAT site for those old memories. Thanks for posting the pic, great stuff!
