Scott Bockholt's birthday was Saturday and what a way to celebrate he managed to make a clean sweep in the super modified division, in his Dad's #22 31 ford coupe. This was his first night back in a car in long time and were glad to have him back, and by the way we would like to thank Robin for letting him come and play with us. It is great to see the wives coming and helping with everything.
Chuck Knight also made a clean sweep in the limited late model division in the #20 mustang once owned and driven by Slayton and Ray Durrett. Chuck and I would like to dedicate the win to the memory of Cecil Harlan. Slayton and Chuck had a great time getting Slayton ready to make a few laps in his old car after over 30 years. We will have some pics up soon of Ray Rainey and Slayton in their old cars. We had a great time giving the Kids rides all the drivers had a blast with the Kids. We apologize for some of our cars having problems and not being able to participate. We would like to thank some of the local track cars helping us with the Kids, it was all about getting the Kids around the track no matter what kind of car and we appreciated the help. Tom Burns in the 6t coupe is in the running for a consistence award since he has been running third regularly, so we have decide to nick name him ole 3rd place. Tom has been getting better and better each week. We would like to thank Duane Isaacs for bringing the #53 Terry Bivins Chevelle for display in the stands it was a hugh hit. Something very important, in all my years of being around Tri State Speedway I cannot remember the track being in as good a condition as I saw Saturday and everybody told us it has been good all year. We would like to thank Tim and Connie Adams and their great staff for having us and making us feel so welcome. We cannot say enough about the atmosphere at Tri State, they are getting it back to the old days. Tim and Connie what ever you are doing keep doing it and keep your heads up you are making it work Thank You both.
