yes sir he's my pop's,he had a lot to do with ccs back in the day, he passed away a few years back,sure do miss him,he was a great man and a great writer,if you ever get a chance you should read the book he had published[the adventures of jimmy poole] he opened the auto parts store when i was in the 7th grade with the help of art pollac of arts auto parts,art wife[back then] was kin to my dad,he did a little racing,wasn't to good at it but had more fun than anyone at the track,he was one hell of a man

I remember riding my bike up to Art's Auto Supply on 6th street in Ft Smith many times just to look at the racing pictures on the wall and above the counter

I had a buddy from up here who would drive his car to the track for his first race and take his battery out each week and leave his car there, then when he was done with it he would sell it on site. I can relate to the not much good at it but......... it was a whole lot of fun.

Jay know's his CCS drivers!! That is Wendell Smith,driver of the #27. I'm getting some cars photo's rounded up to see how well you remember who drove them,but for now, here' another driver photo..... Can you name this Driver from the mid 70's?
